My name is Rosemeire Zabel, I was a Brazilian journalist for 9 years. Currently I am a photographer, videographer student and a love travel film.
I have been working for 6 years as an executive producer, reporter and television presenter on a TV station in Brazil (TV Novo Tempo). I worked on daily news programs which had the latest news in Brazil and the world. As well I produced programs that focus on the social service activities that take place throughout Brazil and informative television program and awareness, showing the latest news of the environment, countryside activities, animal care and nature.
During the journalism University I had the opportunity to work in an advertising agency (Triade) for 2 years, where I learned the art of selling a product through television commercials and videos to the internet. I have seen how impressive a simple product is to become something so desirable. It was an excellent experience. I also had the opportunity to work as a trainee in printed newspapers as a copywriter and in radio station as a speaker. These were the first steps in my communication career.
Over time I also developed other skills. I graduated as a flight attendant, where, although I did not work in the area, I learned a lot of interesting things. I found out in College that I’m very good at Photoshop. And during my travels I studied Spanish in Argentina and English in New Zealand and Canada. Today I can say that I speak three languages.
After traveling around the world as New Zealand, USA, Germany, Holland, among others, I realized that Brazil was not a safe place to live and have a family. As I have always enjoyed traveling and getting to know and explore new places and experiences, I decided to leave my profession and everything behind to try a new life in a prosperous place, like Canada. It is not easy to be out of my country starting all over again after having a solid career. But I feel happy for the opportunity to be here and for being able to study again. I am learning a lot!
